Hatteras Outdoors Cumaru High Dining Table
They say that opposites attract, but in the case of this higher-standing, highest-quality outdoor table, opposites are, in fact, what make it so attractive. Sharp angles, clean lines and distinct geometric shapes dominate the precise design, yet the matchless allure of cumaru wood conveys a wealth of warmth and comfort, of relaxed good taste. Spanning more than 3 feet in diameter, the round tabletop's series of horizontal slats are like spokes coming off the wider-paneled center cross of wood. While this design is striking in itself, the individual cumaru boards, when taken all together, accentuate the exotic hardwood’s prominent grain, which varies appealingly in shade and intensity, from deep amber to a rich chocolate-brown. The assertiveness of the grain can fool you into seeing a raised texture where there is none; the wood is perfectly smooth.
Each of the four slender, 40-inch legs attaches to the middle of one arm of the tabletop cross, and to one of four intersecting legs that create a kind of cross of their own, but with slightly offset arms. The imaginative placement of the legs is what gives this high table its surprising stability, and its effortlessly streamlined look.
